FAQS About Dumpster Rental for Demolition Operations

  • Which Dumpster Size Is Right for My Demolition Project?

Here’s a quick guide to dumpster sizes for specific demolition projects:

    • 12-yard dumpster: Our smallest dumpster works well for small, targeted demolition, such as a bathroom remodel or removing a small shed.
    • 20-yard dumpster: This size is a popular dumpster for renovation debris involving bricks or concrete.
    • 30-yard dumpster: Upgrade to a 30-yard container for light commercial demolition or large-scale residential cleanouts.
    • 40-yard dumpster: We recommend this size for major commercial or structural demolition debris removal. In Denver, we offer this container size for special waste only.

  • What Demolition Debris Can Go Into My Dumpster?

Acceptable materials for our dumpsters include plywood, plaster, drywall, concrete, flooring, rebar, and roofing shingles. Specific waste needs more careful handling. Avoid discarding hazardous waste, asbestos, batteries, solvents, or propane tanks in the container. We provide you with a complete list of prohibited items when you schedule your rental.

  • Does Weight Matter When Filling My Dumpster?

Yes, each of our dumpsters has a weight limit. If you exceed the agreed-upon allowance or overfill the container, you may pay an overage fee. Heavy demolition materials like brick, concrete, and roofing shingles can quickly add up. We suggest upgrading to a larger container or adding extra units if you feel your waste may exceed the weight limit.
